Welcome to La Taupe, a biodynamic vineyard nestled in the enchanting Thésée, at the heart of the beautiful Loire Valley. Here, on our 8.5-hectare estate, we cultivate natural wines with passion and dedication, following the principles of Rudolf Steiner. We are a certified biodynamic and organic vineyard.

Our journey began in Amsterdam, where Bertjan Mol worked as a journalist and Nicole as a strategic advisor. Bertjan is one of the first importers of Natural wines in the Netherlands, with Bruutwijn . After many years of import, Bertjan decided it was time to move to the Loire. Our love for nature, natural wines and the desire to produce them ourselves brought us here. In 2017, we acquired this biodynamic vineyard from Bruno Allion, a French winemaker who had been crafting natural wines for two decades, ensuring that the soil was already free from chemicals and teeming with biodiversity; for 5 generations worked as winemakers on this land. A land rich with limestone, flint and sediments from the old riverbeds.

Why the Loire? The diversity of grape varieties, the rich natural wine scene, and the climate made it the perfect choice. Our wines, exported to over 95% of the world, embody the purity of the land and the vibrancy of life here.
